The notification is released with an Advertisement No. 11/2017.CDS-II.Only candidates of desired eligibility should apply for the vacancy. Educational Qualifications:
- For I.M.A. and Officers’ Training Academy— Degree of a recognized University or
- For Indian Naval Academy—Degree in Engineering from a recognized University/Institution.
- For Air Force Academy—Degree of a recognized University (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor of
Fee: An application fee of Rs. 200/- is to be paid when applied for the posts. SC, ST and Women candidates are exempted from payment of fee. The fee can be paid through Branch of SBI by cash, or by using net banking facility of SBI, State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur/State Bank of Hyderabad/State Bank of Mysore/State Bank of Patiala/State Bank of Travancore or by using Visa/Master Credit/Debit Card.
Selection Process: The selection of candidates is based on verification of applications. The candidates who want to appear for the Interview or Personality test. Candidates should note that there will be penalty (Negative Marking) for wrong answers marked by a candidate in the Objective Type Question Papers. Mere issue of Admission Certificate to the candidate will not imply that his candidature has been finally cleared by the Commission. The eligible candidates shall be issued an e-Admit Card three weeks before the commencement of the examination. The e-Admit Card will be made available on the UPSC website (www.upsc.gov.in) for downloading by candidates. No e- Admit Card will be sent by post.
Examination Centers: The Examination will be held at the following Centres:
Agartala, Ahmadabad, Aizawl, Allahabad, Bangalore, Bareilly, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cuttack, Dehradun, Delhi, Dharwad, Dispur, Gangtok, Hyderabad, Imphal, Itanagar, Jaipur, Jammu, Jorhat, Kochi, Kohima, Kolkata, Lucknow, Madurai, Mumbai, Nagpur, Panaji (Goa), Patna, Port Blair, Raipur,Ranchi,Sambalpur,Shillong,Shimla,Srinagar,Thiruvananthapuram,Tirupati,Udaipur and Visakhapatnam.
How to apply: Candidates are required to visit the Bank’s website www.upsc.gov.in and fill in the online application which is in a prescribed form. The candidate has to pay the fee and upload the photo along with the signature. All the applicants are required to provide valid & active e-mail ID. while filling up online application form as the Commission may use electronic mode for contacting them.
In the case of any guidance/information/clarification regarding their application, candidature etc. candidates can contact UPSC’s Facilitation Counter near Gate ‘C’ of its campus in person or over Telephone No.011-23385271/011-23381125/011- 23098543 on working days between 10.00 hrs. to 17.00 hrs.
Women candidates are being considered only for Short Service Commission at OTA. They should indicate OTA as the only choice. If a male candidate is competing for Short Service Commission (Army) only, he should indicate OTA as the one and only choice. However, a male candidate competing for Short Service Commission Course at OTA as well as Permanent Commission course at IMA, Indian Naval Academy and Air Force Academy should indicate OTA as his last preference
